Product Description
Extruded polystyrene (XPS) board is a rigid foam panel manufactured through a thermal extrusion process. Produced from polystyrene resin and additives, it features a continuous, uniform surface and a closed-cell, honeycomb-like structure. As a third-generation rigid foam insulation material, it is widely used in building insulation projects.
XPS board possesses an integral closed-cell honeycomb structure with tight joints and no internal voids; it offers compressive strength ranging from 150 kPa to 500 kPa and thermal conductivity as low as 0.028 W/(m·K). The material demonstrates exceptional thermal insulation performance and compressive strength (up to 220–500 kPa). It is suitable for applications such as building roof insulation and underfloor heating systems.

XPS board is produced by heating and mixing polystyrene resin with polymers, adding catalysts and conducting continuous closed-cell foaming through extrusion. Its internal independent closed-cell bubble structure endows the material with multiple superior properties: high compression resistance, low water absorption, excellent moisture resistance, air impermeability, light weight, corrosion resistance, superb anti-aging performance and low thermal conductivity. It is an eco-friendly thermal insulation material.
Excellent Thermal Insulation Performance
Boasting over 99% closed-cell rate to form an internal vacuum layer, XPS board effectively blocks heat convection and delivers stable, long-term insulation. Outperforming 80% closed-cell rate of polyurethane foam, 20mm XPS board equals the insulation effect of 50mm EPS board or 120mm cement perlite, making it an ideal building insulation material.

With a unique structural design, XPS board features outstanding compression and impact resistance.
